This weekend is the 25 hour game for Extra Life. A lot of popular, (web) famous, ordinary, unknown, and incredibly giving people raised money through their passion for gaming (and maybe a bit of Twitch voyeurism).
I wish I had thought of this. It is a wonderful way to help people, to direct the charity and generosity of gamers and supporters into a great cause, and it helps local children’s hospitals.
When I grow up, I want my days filled with giving money to charity and with gaming. That concept does not need be mutually exclusive, as demonstrated by Extra Life. It is a wonderful dream and worth fighting for.
But… what do I know…?
