In One Week | Podcast Jitters

A lot can happen In One Weeka weekly article focusing on what gaming things interested or caught my attention in the past week. I will report on what happened in my world of gaming and give you a snapshot of what excited me in the gaming realm at large. How many games are you playing In One Week?

Apologies for the delay, Sunday was taken up by baby preparations and a special project!

What happened in gaming this week?

Where did my money go this week?

What are my gaming highlights this week?

  • There is just something top notch about listening to TTT every week. I think perhaps I find Jim‘s voice both soothing and amusing. Adam Kobel is a great guest and he shared quite a lot about his history–as people are wont to do when talking to Jim–and had some great advice for people. He talked a lot and did not need to back peddle much from Jim’s surprise attack questions. Amazing interview, as always.
  • I find it hilarious how polarized Brett and Sean have become on their weekly topics–with Sean taking the bad cop position by default. However, they really give great counterpoint to the topics at hand. It is actually really impressive how they can take pretty random topics, speak about them even more randomly, then come to some sort of conclusion or closure that is satisfying to the audience. Also, Brett’s ability to come up with fourteen descriptions and scenarios off-the-cuff is great. We need a “Brett’s B.S. machine” for gaming tables when we need a name, metaphor, or to stall for time. Great episode as always gentlemen! Subject matter actually reminds me a lot that I want to give out powerful magic items–but I don’t want characters to use them. HAH!
  • As always, I won’t go into Misdirected Mark here, but please tune in Tuesday for Cutting Words and the #Chatroom4Life at 8:45 PM with the Queen!

What excited me the most in gaming this week?

  • It was a pretty exciting week as we decided to record our test session for a new podcast! I will not speak too much about it yet, but we have received some good feedback and positive comments already. Thank you to everyone who reached out to help us out with back end, preparation, sound, and topics. Stay tuned for more info!

What was your gaming week like?

But… what do I know…?
